Interview with ERT Executive Director

Norfolk, VA's Elizabeth River Trail (ERT) is perhaps the city's best example of continuous, pedestrian-centric infrastructure. Despite traffic-separated multi-use paths, connections to places people want to go, and intentional on-path development the ERT is mostly perceived as recreation as opposed to transportation. I join ERT Executive Director Kindra Greene on a walk through Plum Point Park to discuss the ERT's strengths, areas for improvement, and its future role as the backbone of Norfolk's active transportation network.
