Partnership
Partnership with NFKBC reflects your support for a safer, cleaner, quieter, healthier, and better-connected Norfolk through bicycle use and infrastructure. Partnership is expressed primarily though three methods:
Advocacy: your business/organization officially supports the efforts and policy proposals of NFKBC.
Preferred Event Venue: your business/organization wants to host future NFKBC events.
Financial Support: donation to NFKBC towards our efforts such as content creation, promotional materials, events, etc.
Endorsement
NFKBC’s "Bike Friendly” endorsement is a great way to show Norfolk that you support all the good that cycling brings! Business and organizations seeking and meeting endorsement criteria will receive:
“NFKBC - Bike Friendly” decals for display as well as NFKBC promotional materials.
Inclusion on the list of Bike Friendly businesses/organizations in Norfolk.
Promotion on NFKBC social media including interviews.
Criteria for bicycle-friendly business includes but is not limited to:
Ample bicycle parking, valet, or rental options (i.e. bike racks, lock rentals, etc.)
Incentives for cyclists (ex. flexible work schedules for commuting, transportation credits, etc.)
Locations readily accessible to cyclists and pedestrians / car-free areas
Promotions and discounts for cyclists
Bicycle courriers
